I’m already six weeks into my music education degree and wow. It is so overwhelming. I’m exhausted.
I’ve made many new friends, gotten into some delightful Bible studies and youth group circles, and tried out aerial silks! I’m super into the silks now. I’m even considering buying my own I love it so much!
With 2 1/2 -3 1/2 hours of music practice per day (with coming juries requiring 4-5 hours per day) I’m so worn out. I really like practicing as I can see improvement nearly every-time I pick up my instrument but it gets tiring.
I especially enjoy orchestra. It’s been a blast playing with so many talented string players. (who can all sight read and play so much more skillfully than I) I feel a bit under qualified to be taught and included in this group of string players. They all started at such young ages and practiced far more then I ever have. They play so well. I however have only been playing for 2 years so it makes me feel a bit better. I appreciate how far I’ve come in such a short time but I still want to be fluent in the language of music. It will be my life’s work I suppose.

With school at its peak, I’m surprised I found time to write this post. (I may be procrastinating theory homework. Maybe.)
As stated in the heading, I have some fall & art photos to share. 🙂

I’m headed off with my campus youth group this weekend for a camping trip in the mountains. It’s going to be great fun with a change of scenery for a bit.
I hope to get back into some more regular posting, perhaps on what God has been doing to strengthen my faith lately and maybe some book recommendation posts.
I hope you all are doing well.
God Bless,
